SEATTLE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

It was in the summer of 2013 and their lives would never be the same.  While working on campus together during college these two met and couldn’t help but fall for one another.

Living in Alaska and planning a wedding in Seattle, they were happy to have so many things seamlessly come together!

With November typically comes rain and even though it blessed us for only part of the day, truthfully I would say it turned out perfect.  With Seattle’s ability to provide a variety of weather patterns all in an 8 hour period, I was happy to embrace the overcast skies that the PNW is known for.

I love the industrial area around the Georgetown Ballroom wedding venue in Seattle and within the venue itself we had a plethora of options for photos.  In addition to all of that goodness there was the cutest courtyard behind the venue!

Shannon and Josh were so easy to be around.  Willing to do whatever, even climb on a random lime bike (that one of the groomsmen later admitted he thought was cheesy but when he saw the photo he said it looked like they were sincerely having fun)…isn’t that the point!?

They got married under the colorful lanterns in the Jolly Rogers room with cocktail hour following.  As everyone was enjoying dinner, they started the toasts ending with the cutting of a donut rather than a cake.  More importantly celebrating their nephew Jackson (who turned 3) with his own moment in the spotlight…I mean could the boy be any cuter!

The dancing started and between Shannon’s mom knowing all the words to Fergalicious and Josh pulling out some special dance moves near the end it was an entertaining night.

I love that Shannon and Josh were up for running down the middle of the street as their own special exit.  Now back in Alaska, life is back to their regularly scheduled programming BUT  they are happy as Mr. & Mrs. Thorne!
