SEATTLE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

It was suppose to be overcast and snowing but the blue sky appeared just as we arrived to the venue.  I had never met Sarah and Caleb so as I unpacked I introduced myself to each of them in their cabins (Caleb proceeded to greet me with his short shorts, I mean his ‘Rangers’ thus breaking the ice pretty fast).

Sarah was upstairs in the main lodge at Mountain Springs Lodge wedding venue, primping with her ladies and as talented as she is she was doing own hair and makeup (and her bridesmaids for that matter).

She’s the fourth and final child to get married so it was bittersweet for her parents to give Sarah away…hard on the pocket book but sweet as it was also on a day special to her and her family…her birthday!  So…double reason to celebrate.

When Caleb first asked Sarah’s dad if he could marry her, he may have been a bit strategic, at a loud Seahawks game drinking beer…he either knew he wouldn’t hear his answer if he said no or had a greater chance of him saying yes after a few drinks.

Sarah and Caleb knew they wanted a snow wedding…it was just something she had always wanted!  So what better place than Mountain Springs Lodge!  Everyone was an amazing sport about the frigid weather as we did photos outside including the ceremony.  With her 7 nephews and 1 niece joining in the fun (I call running around in circles with random kids crying fun) it all turned out perfect!

The bridal party needed no help with their candidness.  Everyone laughing and hanging in there despite the wind and snowfall that would hit every so often…or the cross country skiers that would photobomb us here and there.

They had a horse drawn sleigh take Sarah to the ceremony and then again after the ceremony with the whole bridal party!

It was a special ceremony delivery as her brother officiated.  I loved how they had so many special things throughout the day.

As the reception started, many people spoke of their love and admiration for this couple, including the fact that Caleb was in the service and very dedicated!

They didn’t do a traditional cake they did a birthday cake for Sarah however her dad told a childhood story that had much significance with the cake toppers…thus surprising Sarah as they brought it out from the back!

Family and friends mean the most to these two.  They wanted a more intimate wedding to savor the time and enjoy the day with all who came.  It was absolutely a joy to witness it all and see how much love and banter they have for each other.  One of the most fun groups of people I have had the pleasure of being around!

Much love to you Sarah and Caleb…

You are amazing! I loved watching you (as I tried to stay out of your way) work with Sarah, Caleb and family. You made it fun for them, and you captured some wonderful moments. With great appreciation for your skills, Cathy (Sarah’s Aunt)
