Their friends thought they would be ‘great’ together, but the the timing just wasn’t right. 5 years ago Donica & Tyler starting hanging out in a group a few times when they just couldn’t deny that there was a strong connection between them. Their friends, unable to ignore Donica & Tyler’s connection, would pair them up at their wedding to be ‘walking partners’ in the bridal party. Donica was stoked (insert huge smile) cause she definitely had a huge crush on Tyler, but since tjeu have a bit of an age difference (5 years) she didn’t think he would be interested.
She ended up texting him first after finding out they were walking together in their friends upcoming wedding AND…the rest is history.
Donica immediately knew he was the one. Tyler is very shy and not very outspoken, especially when it comes to his feelings so she was really unsure if he felt the same. However HE DID!!
Their relationship grew from friendship, and they get each other completely. They are basically the same person. ON New years Eve, 2015, Tyler officially asked her to be his girlfriend and it’s been 4 years of fun and love ever since. (I mean look at their smiles in the photos)!
On August 3rd, while on a vacation with Tyler’s family in Barcelona, he asked Donica to marry him. They had plans to meet his family for dinner that night, but they decided to have drinks beforehand at his parents hotel. While walking to Tyler’s parents room, he suggested that they go take a picture outside on the balcony because the view of the Mediterranean was breathtaking. As soon as he said that, she knew. He NEVER has asked me to take a picture (so dead give away). Outside on the balcony, there was a blanket and a couple glasses of champagne waiting. He started telling her how much he loves her and honestly after that she has no idea what he said… it was very surreal. Donica had a strong feeling this would happen on the trip but she was still in disbelief.
Of course said yes and they spent the rest of the trip celebrating.
